The Second Annual Fire and Ice Chili Cook-Off saw over 1,100 attendees on Saturday, February 27. The annual event, co-presented by the Circle City Rotary club and Corona-Norco YMCA, is held to raise funds for charity, as well as establish a fun, family-oriented event for the community. This year’s cook-off raised over $35,000, which will be used to fund non-profit work and donated to charities served by both organizations.

Last year, Majestic Sign Studio worked closely with both organizations to design the Fire and Ice logo and assist with event promotion. Majestic Sign Studio was also instrumental in this year’s event, responsible for all event branding, including signage, sponsor banners, t-shirt design, marketing brochures, tickets and more.

The event took place at the Corona-Norco Family YMCA and included:

  • Over 30 Chili Cook-Off contestants, competing in 2 categories.
  • 15 Craft Brewers from the Inland Empire and as far away as San Diego.
  • Live music and beer tasting.
  • Commemorative Fire & Ice t-shirts.
  • Kid’s play area.
  • Special VIP area.

Chili contestant winners received cash prizes and trophies, and the brewery winner, Wiens Brewery Company, was awarded a customized mini keg to display in their tasting room.

“This annual event is growing into a festival that the entire Corona community can take part in. Over 40 local businesses took part in sponsoring this fun-filled family event”, said Gordy Wolfe, co-owner of Majestic Sign Studio.
